An Interview With Libby

Lolly: It’s Friday afternoon so I am kickin’ it with Libby, as usual! Libby, what is up?!

Libby: Not much, what is up with you?!

LOL: Hahaha

LIB: Haha, just enjoying the sunshine.

LOL: Just enjoying the sunshine! Busy today, you usually are. You’re here on the weekends, though. Obviously, it’s pretty busy for ya.

LIB: Friday, Saturday, Sunday!

LOL: Yup. You’re on your eighth year here?

LIB: I am. It doesn’t feel like its been eight years. I think I started May of 2018.

LOL: But you’ve been a reader much longer than that.

LIB: I have. I’ve been reading probably… Oh, for over forty years.

LOL: And you’re a bit of a worldly reader!

LIB: I am. I started my journey overseas. I’ve always knew that I had a gift, but I had a mentor that helped me enhance that gift overseas.

LOL: So what do your gifts entail?

LIB: I know I’m really good with–I just call it a “knowing”. Like, I can be around a person, feel that energy, and know what’s going on. I’m really good with health–just “knowing”. Not here to replace any doctors, by any means. Then I do Tarot, palmistry… Palmistry is a big passion. I learned that partially when I was overseas. I do coffee cups, but I haven’t been doing those readings recently. And mediumship!

LOL: What services do you provide in the shop?

LIB: I don’t do mediumship in the shop unless it comes through during a reading. Mostly Tarot reading and palmistry. I also offer candlework for clients.

LOL: That’s great. I love your candles. Your readings, too. But I’ve done a couple of the classes and it’s been successful for me.

LIB: Yes, I do the classes as well.

LOL: We always post the class schedule if you ever wanna join!

LOL: So, um… how are you dealing with the TikTok fame?

LIB: Oh, that was fun! That was back in, I think, 2022. One of my clients went viral. She posted a review of my reading. We didn’t know that. I just came into work one day and the phones were ringing nonstop. I think I was booked for eight months straight. So that was great! I actually still give her lifetime readings. She still comes in and a lot of my clients here at Illuminate are from that video.

LOL: So, my question for everyone is… What’s your favorite deck?!

LIB: Mine is the Prism Vision Tarot by James E Eds.

LOL: Is that the rainbow one?

LIB: No. It’s based on the Rider…

LOL: Oh! You have his whole collection!

LIB: Yup!

LOL: I know what you’re talking about.

LIB: Yup, Rider-Waite, but it’s a more modern take.

LOL: Cool, I love it. I would trust your taste, that’s for sure.

LOL: Thank you for your time, Libby. I know you are about ready to go, so I very much appreciate it.
