What's New Patty Cat?

Lolly: I’m here with Patty this beautiful Wednesday afternoon. Hi Patty! I feel like I haven’t seen you in a long time!

Patty: Hi! It’s good seeing you, too, Lolly!

L: You’re here Wednesday,Thursday and every other Saturday, that’s right?

P: Tuesdays and Wednesdays, mhm.

L: And you’ve been here almost a year now? Because I’ve been here a year and you were a couple months after me?

P: I was hired back in August.

L: Oh, August! Little bit later than I had thought.

P: Yeah, you came in…

L: April, mhm.

L: You were actually just kinda gonna fill in but you have set days, now.

P: Yeah, after I started, Shelly ended up giving me a couple of days and I do fill-ins.

L: Yeah, yeah. We’re the ones. We’re the go-tos! And, you know, I really don’t know you very well in terms of your practices. What is your main mode of practice? Like do you prefer Tarot, Oracle, or–what do you do?

P: The biggest thing that really draws me is mediumship.

L: Oh, yeah.

P: Talking to spirit… I feel dead and alive. And I can’t tell unless they’re giving me messages, but I channel. They come in and I get messages from them. Sometimes, I use Tarot to help with the messages. I also am really big into spirit guides, especially animals. I do classes on those every now and then here. That is so much fun. I also read palms, use Oracle… and I’m really into Numerology.

L: Oh, cool!

P: I take all of this and put it together and give a reading. Spirit always comes through, always. My sister and my loved ones–they come through and they seem to grab a hold of whoever my clients want to talk to. They drag them over, kind of saying, “Here! You need to come here right now. Patty will help you out.”

L: I love it!

P: Their loved ones are always chomping at the bit to give messages. That’s why they come in. Everything is for a reason.

L: I’m still stuck on the Numerology. I didn’t know you do that. That’s why I was like, “Wait!”

P: Numerology is spot on. I mean SPOT ON. I love it. I can do the charts, all of it for you.

L: That’s so cool… Because I do mediumship and I like Tarot and Oracle. I feel like something I really, like, look up to with many of the ladies here is I feel like I don’t tap into the… Not necessarily “psychic readings”, but I do use the cards pretty heavily. And many say they could take it or leave it with the cards.

P: I do like using the Tarot cards. At times, I was just doing the mediumship, but the Tarot cards help clarify a lot of what’s coming through with Spirit. It sometimes helps figure out what they wanna say and it makes total sense, especially with whoever the client is that can verify. And they always come up. Like all of this sudden, I’ll see a big rose in my head, and their name is Rose, you know, or they had a rose garden or whatever. The Tarot helps clarify. And the Numerology, like I said, it is freaking spot on!

L: And that’s totally different. That’s not cards. That’s literally… You’re doing math!

P: That, and it ties in with Astrology and all of that.

L: That’s what I was just thinking!

P: It ties in with your signs, the day you were born… It is your life path. It explains people to a tee! A lot of times, I won’t even ask for that information. But if I hear that lifepath number, I just know.

L: I’m a lifepath six, if you wanna mull that over.

P: Oh, yeah! You’re a compassionate caregiver. That’s your purpose!

L: I would love to dive into that.

P: You can tie it into the Tarot. It’s a six! The Lovers card.

L: I didn’t even think about that.

P: It all ties in.

L: That is so cool.

P: I even count license plates! That’s Numerology!

L: Same, I always spot ‘em.

P: I use it with Tarot and Numerology, the angel numbers. It ties in with Numerology, all of it.

L: Would you ever lead a class on Numerology or is it more of a private practice?

P: It is more private because it’s in-depth. I did already talk with Danielle about offering it on the website. I just don’t think a class is in my future. But you could get, like, your full reading. It ranges from soul urge numbers, your karmic lesson number in this life–if you even have one, there’s your personality number, there’s destiny… Yeah. There’s a lot.

L: I would love to do one of those with you. So… Which practice kinda of got you started? Did you start with mediumship, or did you start with Numerology? Or Tarot?

P: I had no clue I could do this kind of stuff. Well, this is where it comes in.  When I was young, my sister and I were super, super close. We’re only, as she put it, “10 months and 29 days apart!” She was younger but she always looked older than me.

L: Hahaha!

P: She now calls herself “Forever Young”, Anyways, we made a promise when we were little kids. Whoever died first would come back and let the other one know what it was like. Holy shit did she keep her freakin’ promise! Hi sister! Her name’s Susan. See these cute little cat earrings?

L: I noticed them earlier, yeah.

P: She died in 2011. I first heard from her through a psychic that I went to see that I couldn’t even afford. But it blew me away and put it all together. I’ve had this tattoo that says “Patty Kat”. Now my sister comes thought of as a cat.  So, I go to Mexico in 2012. I bought these little cat earrings because they remind me of her. We were so close… But anyways… I was scattered at that time. All this was coming in. You know, the religious barriers and all that… So, I probably moved seven times until where I’m at now. And in those moves, I lost one of my cat earrings but I kept the other one. I put it on a necklace sometimes because it reminds me of Susan. And… I moved to where I’m at now after finally gettin’ my shit together. I’m plunging and cleaning the toilet. Flush… The earring popped up IN THE TOILET.

L: WHAT?!

P: I immediately went, “SUSAN!” and I pulled it out of the toilet! She’s letting me know, “you found your stable foundation”. That was my karmic lesson in Numerology number four. I had to find my stable foundation in life. She said, “You’re not moving anymore! You’re exactly where you’re supposed to be… Took ya long enough to get here.” And she used to call me… bitch.

L: Oh my gawd, Patty, you’ve got me literally crying.

P: She comes in along with my dad. He comes in as the song “Takin’ Care of Business”.

L: “Takin’ care of buuusssinessss, everyday!”

P: He still takes care of my finances and tells me what to do about all that. My mom and everyone, and they’re the ones that drag people to me to get messages. But yeah, it’s for real.

L: So you would say the mediumship was your opening?

P: It was that, but I was already messing with Tarot and I didn’t really know it. I was raised Catholic. Nothing against religion, but they’re telling you things, you know? I’m wondering, “can I do this?” It seemed like creepy stuff that you’re not supposed to do growing up! So those were my demons. That’s why it took me so long to get where I’m at now. I’m comfortable with it, I’m willing to do it, I have beliefs. It doesn't matter, we are all one. It all works together.

L: I agree… So a lot of readers do take classes or have mentors and stuff. I didn’t, ever, you know. Did you go that route at all?

P: No. I just got some Tarot cards and started reading guide books. I’d look at pictures and then I’d see things. It’s all crazy. Now, I see it everyday. I was coming home and I saw three hawks and I got the message driving the car. I get out of the car, and there’s a hawk feather laying on the ground.

L: They seem to flock to you, I’ve noticed! You send the pictures all the time, “this one landed on here” and yeah, I know your spot is the hotspot. I know that! Would you say it started in 2012 then, for you?

P: My sister died in 2011 and she literally started right away. She sent a call in the middle of the night to my daughter, Jilly, who I’m super close to, saying “have your mom call me right away” and Jilly told me, “Aunt Susan called in the middle of the night”  and I told her, “there’s no freakin’ way”. She was in a coma! There’s no way she called. So, she started right away. I knew something was up but yeah, 2011. April 4th. There’s my karmic number! April 4th, 2011–when she died.

L: Wow. That day is significant to my journey as well. I’ll have to tell you about it. Do you feel like it’s a calling or a practice? Like a spiritual pull, or more like a job?

P: It’s a calling. It’s a spiritual pull. It’s my purpose in life. It’s meant to help people. And the biggest thing I feel helping people is getting messages from Spirit. Their loved ones are trying so hard to get through them. I also believe that anyone and everyone has this gift. If you really want it, you can do this. They can learn how to communicate.

L: And I’ve been asking everyone the same question... What is your favorite deck?!

P: Okay… Using the cards, my favorite is the Witches Tarot. In fact, I think Shelly uses it. I know she has the deck. It’s all little witchy things. I wanted to be a witch when I was a kid.

L: Well, maybe you are!

P: Yeah, hahaha. So, that, and using my own personal? The Star Tarot. Wow. That helps me really, really get a grip. They’re deep.

L: When you’re reading for other people, you like the Witches deck.

P: The Witches or the original Rider-Waite.

L: And for personal readings, the Star Tarot.

P: Yes. Super, super deep.

L: Well, cool! I feel like I really learned a lot about you just now. I mean, you had me cryin’. I was in tears. That is just a beautiful story. 

P: It’s so much fun.

L: And what are the odds that you really didn’t know we were doing this today but you wore the earrings?!

P: You know, I wasn’t going to. Then I heard my sister. She helps me put my makeup on. She says I never blended it right before. She’s hilarious. She said, “wear the cat earrings, they match your shirt!”

L: They do match your shirt perfectly.

P: I thought, “oh, okay, I’ll wear my Susan earrings.”

L: I love it! Thank you Patty, this was awesome. I really would love to dive into Numerology with you sometime, too.
